CineKink 2017 / Programming Update - Festival Selections

Hi all -
I�ll be doing another pass at the schedule, and may still find slots for a couple of additional shorts and excerpts. And there are also a couple of feature documentaries still under consideration. Otherwise, below is the list of films and videos we have selected from the submissions to CineKink 2017.
For those of you whose work was not included, please know that in many cases it was because a piece didn't quite fit with the particular programming themes or available times that developed as we put together the schedule this year - or because it was too similar to another work in terms of story, focus, cast, etc.
Whichever the reason, we hope you will let us keep your work in mind for future screenings, for which it may be more appropriate. And that you continue to share your projects with us in the future.
As I noted earlier, our submissions increased significantly this year, but our number of available screening slots actually decreased. This has made for an incredibly difficult selection process, as you've gifted us with an amazing array of quality submissions from which to choose.
For that--and the enthusiasm that all of you bring to your good kinky works - thank you!

CineKink 2017 / Programming Update - Selections Delayed Redux

Hi all -
Apologies, coming at you with one more delay. Turns out the cold/flu I mentioned last week, is actually pneumonia. Despite that, I've managed to make my way through this year's submissions, but I'm still having problems focusing enough to make the final selections for the festival.
So with that, I'm going to follow everyone�s advice and take it easy...and hold off our selection notifications until after the weekend.

CineKink 2017 / Programming Update - Selections Delayed

Hi all -
We'd hoped to be sending selection notifications out today for CineKink NYC 2017, but alas!
We've been simply overwhelmed with the number of submissions this year, a good jump from last, and are still making our way through some of them, reviewing, juggling, trying to find a clear through-line for the festival program. This is always a daunting process, made all the worse this season by malingering disbelief/horror at the results of the election and, in my case, the head-muddling effects of a vicious cold/flu.
Consequently, we're going to spend a little bit more time with your works, holding our notifications for later next week, aiming for next Friday, February 3rd. We know that you're eager to find out whether your work has been included and we'll get the news to you even earlier if it's at all possible.
Since your information may have changed since you submitted your work, please notify us asap if you have any upcoming festival screenings and/or premieres that may complicate showing your work during CineKink.
In particular, we'd like to know of any local bookings, and ask that you avoid any NYC screenings in the weeks before our festival. Feel free to check in with any questions on this.

For those of you out of town and pondering lodging, the bulk of our activities will be taking place in the East Village. Our primary theater, the Anthology Film Archives, is at 32 Second Avenue (& Second Street), NYC. Everything is pretty accessible via subway and/or taxi, but we have a few links to suggested accommodations on the CineKink website: http://cinekink.com/programs-and-events/nyc/accomodations.
While we aren't able to assist with any travel expenses, we do provide all selected filmmakers with an all-access pass to CineKink NYC...and can pretty much guarantee a good time!
Again, we will be getting back to you with more information as soon as we've got it.

CineKink 2017 / Programming Update

Touching base with everyone who sent us films and videos for CineKink 2017 to let you know that, with just a couple of months to go until the festival, we're very excited at all the quality work facing us this year!
We have a lot of tough choices ahead, but expect that we'll be able to announce our selections by January 27th, as originally specified in our call for entries information. We know that you're eager to find out whether your work has been included, and we'll get the notification to you even earlier if it's at all possible. Please make sure to keep us updated with your best email address, as that�s how we�ll be making our initial announcements.
Also, since your information may have changed since you submitted your work, please notify us ASAP if you have any upcoming festival screenings and/or premieres that may complicate showing your work during CineKink. In particular, we�d like to know of any local bookings, and ask that you avoid any NYC screenings in the weeks before our festival.
In the meantime, please note that due to a booking conflict with our theater, the dates of the festival are slightly later than indicated in some of our early call for entries information. The confirmed dates for CineKink NYC are March 14th-19th.
