Make plans to join us and tell all of your friends... CineKink is heading to the nation's capitol with two nights of double-headers! Celebrating and exploring a wide diversity of sexuality, the films and videos in these sex-positive and kink-friendly showcases range from documentary to drama, camp comedy to hot porn, mildy spicy to quite explicit - and everything in between.
And, then...we party!
**FRIDAY
On Friday, November 21 at 8:00 pm, the program is "Give & Take," a kinky collection of short films and videos that probe, prod and play with the dynamics of sexual power and release, control and submission - followed by a BDSM-themed play party! Somehow incorporating one man's auto-fixation with lemons, the intimate thoughts of a woman newly exploring her kink, a couple struggling to keep the passion alive and a fantastical S/M musical comedy, the program includes: IN YER ROOM (Bobby McNasty), LEMON SQUEEZY (Damian Saber), NEUROTICA (Leah Meyerhoff), COMING OUT SPANKO (Tanya Bezreh), ANONYMITY (Julie Simone), NAMAHA MAN (John Adams), WHO'S THE TOP? (Jennie Livingston) and MARRIED WITH CHILDREN (Erika Lust).
**SATURDAY
And on Saturday, November 22 at 8:00 PM, "Mix, Match & Mingle" is a round-up of two-somes, three-somes, four-somes and more-somes, featuring short works that look at the delights - and some dilemmas - of moving beyond monogamy. All that, plus a swinging after-party hosted by Rites of Bacchus! With subjects ranging from a sumptuous orgy to the initial forays of a couple exploring the swing world to a few libidinous gerbils, the program includes: PLEASURE ME (Petra Joy), PAC MOUSE (Leah Meyerhoff), THE PARTY (Jessica Rotondi), WASH ME CLEAN (Michael Immerman), HIGH INFIDELITY (David Hansen), SALT (Campbell Farquhar), SOMETHING ABOUT NADIA (Erika Lust) and WILDEST DREAMS (Petra Joy).

**Leatherfest 2008 (NYC)
A festival of S/M-leather-fetish socials, workshops, seminars and shopping. Among the festivities, CineKink's Lisa Vandever will take part in a panel discussing "Erotica and the Arts" on Wednesday, 11/12 @ 8 pm. Other events include the first annual Gil Kessler Lecture, workshops ranging from the "Joys of Caning" to "Women of Leather," an erotic art fair and a flea market to benefit Leather Pride Night.

**NYC Sex Bloggers Calendar Launch (um, NYC)
Twelve of the city's many dynamic literary and sex-positive women, along with uber-talented photographer Stacie Joy, and the sex blogging community, have collaborated to create a limited edition calendar in support of the organization, Sex Work Awareness. And this is the party celebrating its launch!

**Join the Impact! (nationwide)
Join the Impact is organizing a national protest against the anti-gay propositions passed in last week's election--Proposition 8 of California, Proposition 102 of Arizona and Proposition 2 of Florida, all banning gay marriage, along with the Arkansas Adoption Ban that prevents unmarried couples from adopting children.

Of course, if you're actually on the ball, please still send in your work for our original "final" deadline of November 15th. But to accommodate everyone who's been caught up in the fog, anyone who might wish to buy a little extra time, the LAST call for entries to CineKink NYC has been extended, with a new "final-final" (really!) deadline set for Saturday, November 29th. (Really!)

Dedicated to the recognition and encouragement of sex-positive and kink-friendly depictions in film and television, we're looking to blur some boundaries and will be considering offerings drawn from both Hollywood and beyond, with works ranging from documentary to drama, camp comedy to hot porn, mildly spicy to quite explicit - and everything in between.
Discounted, early-bird entries have a post-marked deadline of October 15th, while the standard deadline is November 15th.
Cutting across orientations, topics covered at CineKink have included - but are by no means limited to - BDSM, leather and fetish, swinging, non-monogamy and polyamory, roleplay and gender bending. Or, frankly, given the current moral climate, as long as it involves consenting adults, just about anything celebrating sex as a right of self expression is fair game. (Far be it from us to define "kink" - if you think your work might make sense in this context, please send it along!)
Scheduled for its sixth annual appearance February 24-March 1, 2009, the specially-curated CineKink NYC will also feature a short film competition, audience choice awards, presentations, parties and a gala kick-off, with a national screening tour to follow.
