1) FILMMAKERS ATTENDING CINEKINK NYC
We're getting down to the wire and wanted to check in again on filmmaker plans to attend CineKink NYC. One of my favorite things about CineKink is bringing together such a great community of like-minded filmmakers and hope you'll be part of it! We make a comp festival pass available so you're able to attend everything, screenings and parties inclusive, we just need to know you'll be here.
For those of you joining us, if I haven't heard from you already, it would also be great to know what day you'll be arriving/departing, your cell phone # and which events - other than your own screening, of course - you'd definitely like to attend. (You're welcome to any of it - and if you're not sure yet, that's fine - this just helps with our planning.)
Filmmaker attendance at the kick-off gala/fundraiser on 2/24 will be by guest list at the door (8 pm, Kush Lounge, 191 Chrystie Street), PLEASE indicate if you will be attending.
We will also need a separate RSVP if you plan to attend the Afterglow party on 3/1.
Otherwise, your filmmaker badge will be available for pick-up starting at the first screening, 2/25, at Anthology Film Archives (32 Second Avenue @ 2nd Street, New York, NY 10003).
2) CINEKINK ON B-SIDE
There's still time to add photos and trailers to your listing on B-Side if you haven’t been able to do so already. Here, again, are their instructions:
"In our experience, a filmmaker can dramatically increase audience awareness of his/her film by filling the film details page with compelling information. You can track exactly how well your film is doing by checking the number of page views, calendar adds, and (once the film has screened) ratings and reviews -- all of which is displayed on the film page. You can even check the 'festival buzz' statistics to see how your film stacks up.

Just search for your film with the search box or click the "films" tab to see an alphabetical listing.
You may contribute still images, trailers, and a blog by following these instructions:

In these instructions, you will see references to uploading your files to a directory. The directory for CineKink NYC is 'cinekink2009.'

If your film has screened previously at a B-Side Partner Festival, please let me know immediately with your film's title and the name of the festival and we will import images and collateral directly from that festival page.

3) SHAMELESS SELF-PROMOTION
If you want to drive audience to your film, be sure you use the link connected to your film's page on B-Side. You can find this by opening either schedule or list view, then clicking on your film's title - then copy the URL that's showing in your web browser.

While I'm thinking of it, wanted to put in a plug for Christopher Holland's book, "Film Festival Secrets," which is packed with practical and useful tidbits for promoting your film/screening during a festival.

5) PROGRAM PURCHASE LINKS
In addition to linking to your specific film and/or the link to the CineKink NYC website (http://www.cinekink.com), you may also want to be directing folks to the page on B-side for your particular program, which contains additional information and a link to purchase tickets.
For features, this will be a little more self-evident, but for shorts/excerpts, look for either the shorts program that includes you or the feature that you'll be preceding.
